A night hunt for the northern lights above the Artic Circle
The land where dreams come true. Rovaniemi is full of breathtaking phenomena and natural elements. Magical Northern Lights, breathtaking vastness, and mystical Polar Night all provided memories for a lifetime.
Heading to Rovaniemi, Official Hometown of Santa Claus
The Arctic Circle is a circle of latitude that runs 66°33′45.9″ north of the Equator. It marks the southernmost latitude where the sun can stay continuously below or above the horizon for 24 hours – these phenomena are known as the Midnight Sun in the summer and the Polar Night in the winter.
Helsinki, my first Nordic city in my first Nordic Country
Stepping into Helsinki feels like uncovering a well-kept Nordic secret. The city seamlessly blends modern minimalism with timeless traditions, offering visitors a refreshing and inspiring escape. I found myself enchanted by the crisp sea breeze, the soothing rhythm of trams gliding along cobbled streets, and the inviting glow of cafes where locals sip their coffee in no rush at all.
“The Queen City” of Nelson, BC
Escape to unwind in Nelson, BC…where you go to be surrounded by the vastness of the outdoors and have your soul intersect with it.
Canada’s warmest welcome, Osoyoos, BC
Canada’s warmest welcome! In the southern Okanagan Valley, Osoyoos is celebrated for its diverse natural beauty, featuring desert landscapes, mountains, vineyards and the renowned Osoyoos Lake, known as the warmest lake in the country.
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
I have mixed feelings about Punta Cana…I don’t want to be harsh because ultimately there was nothing wrong with it. It was the perfect destination to just relax…but I left feeling like I missed out on absorbing any culture
Adventure Boogies, Punta Cana
Ugh, this was not what was advertised and I was left feeling disappointed and 100% misled. I wish the tour was more authentic and less touristy then it would have been worth it….bloody scrapped knees and all.
Monkeyland, Punta Cana
A journey to the mountains to visit Monkeyland, a beautiful 5-acres park home of two groups of charming and intelligent squirrel monkeys. These adorable and friendly monkeys have the softest of feet. So cute.
Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort
WOW, we lived like royalty here with a private pool and butler, the gluttonous lifestyle to be sure. This was my most favourite All Inclusive Resort I have stayed at… this resort is not a chain and they know how to treat a guest better than any other resort.
What is that called? Caming?
“What’s that now?”. Words like, fusing and not fusing glass, float glass, not floating glass, old and new glass and Kokomo, yogi, iri, caming, foiling…Information on information. I LOVED IT! I will remember to bring bandaids next time though. buwahahahha
Is Summer Baked Right into the Name?
If Summer is baked right into the name, does that mean is always summer in Summerland? Summerland is without a doubt a four seasons playground.
It’s a Sweet Kind of Life in Peachland
It’s a Sweet Kind of Life in Peachland…as you approach the cute little town of Peachland, it’s like an a-ha moment. Peachland where everyday is a beach day.
FleuRiching in the Okanagan
It was fated from the beginning for me to find my way to this workshop. We should all strive to have a little Nature Therapy in our lives any way we can get it. Thank you @fleurichcreations
It Was a Robbery
When you are enjoying the Kettle Valley Train with spectacular vistas of Summerland Lush Orchards only to be involved in a Gang heist pulling back into the station. buwahaha, It was staged and for charity, but it was sure entertaining. @kettlevalleysteamrailway
Becoming a Sommelier
Learning from the masters is a great way to learn no? I took the WSET Level 1 Sommelier course offered in Kelowna by Fine Vintage Ltd. and I am officially now certified. It’s only Level 1, but it counts. @finevintagewine @finevintageltd
That Nagging Doubt
What’s holding you back? Got that nagging doubt of your own? Venture to this winery for a tasting, it’s in my top favourites in the Okanagan @naggingdoubt @nagging.doubt.wines
Wine Tour of 5 West Kelowna Vineyards
The OK Lifestyle in all its glory. 5 award winning wineries from Organic and Rustic to quirky and sophisticated, set in the rolling hills and the beach side resort style venues…this was a well round tour experiencing 5 individually unique wineries with their own distinctions…a vibe for all crowds. @rollingdale @hatchwines @mtboucheriewine @otgowinery @frindwinery
Cedar Creek Estate Winery
With spectacular views of Lake Okanagan, this winery is nestled into a steep hill surrounded by Home Block Vineyard and Restaurant. It was the perfect place to take my girlfriends for lunch when they were visiting me in Kelowna. @CedarCreekWine
Blind Wine Tasting
Blind Wine Tasting? What kind of wine is this? (Me) It’s Red…no wait it’s White. Followed by homemade cream puffs that I intensely felt. They tasted like hopes and dream. buwahahahahahah @arrowleafcellars
You want some Cheese with that Wine? buwahaha
Food Porn coming at you. Walking away from a class with food is the best thing ever. Building a charcuterie board is NOT just about throwing a bunch of stuff on a board. Believe it not there is strategy to the placement, the height, the edging. It was a lot of fun and I would totally take this class again. Now you Know! @tjsgrazing @sperlingvineyards
