You fed more than my belly

Food forms friendships, it’s a fact

Fresh baked empanadas, homemade soup, aromas so yummy you want to lick the air. This is no joke…Super Gourmet is INCREDIBLE!

I lived in Casco Viejo for a month and I found these guys in week 2 and since the day I found them, I have eaten more of their home cooking than I have made myself in the last 3 months. LOL This says a lot because I LOVE to cook.

It has become a bit of a ritual, On Mondays stop by for a quick chat and grab some treats for the week…On Fridays, I would swing by and stock up on empanadas and soup for the weekend lockdown! I bought groceries and sweets and more soup and of course more empanadas…oh and the bagels! The bagels….Honestly, I have lost track of all the food I have eaten from your place.

What I do know, is there is a reason you have such a dedicated following of customers and it’s because your customers get far more than just well fed from a visit to your place.

Friendships are formed through food, it’s true.  Why do you think friends go out for dinner or have dinner parties…

When people have company over at their houses, why do you suppose everyone always congregates in the kitchen? It’s because food connects people. Super Gourmet is exactly like this…Their store is as if your friends are having company over to their house and you always end up leaving well fed…in mind and belly.

I know that I get more out of a visit with you and your wife. I feel a friendship and a genuine interest in your well being.  Not many people can say that from their local corner store grocer.  Thank you Blayne for feeding me for these past few weeks. Even though I am moving onto the next town, you haven’t seen the last of me.

Now You Know!

Super Gourmet aka “Super G” aka “El Deli”

There is a reason why you are a staple in the neighbourhood.  For the obvious reason that your food is delicious, but also because you are just solidly good people.

Blayne, you are good people.
