Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
With all my love…
from my reset & refocused heart
I love yoga! I do…I admit it. I am terribly inflexible and tragically bad at yoga and I lack massive amounts of grace…I really truly do. I am at my core a tomboy and proud of it.
Those that practice yoga and are really really successful have grace in their movements. Maybe they are just born with it, maybe their dedication to the practice developed grace for them…whatever it is and however they achieved their graceful ways…I don’t have it.
But it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I care that practicing yoga & spending time on my mat makes me feel whole and reminds me that any little things throughout the day that irks me are irrelevant.
I think that practicing yoga has made me the epitome of the “I am rubber and you’re glue” theory…All the crap just bounces off me like Scotchguard on a sofa and spilled liquids.
I work out daily…typically squats, legs, abs, arms stuff…a little cardio too. But there is something about the flow of the yoga movements that instills an internal reset…a sense of rightness.
So naturally when I left Canada in December I was torn between bringing the items that I needed vs. bringing my mat. (It should be noted that my mat was fairly heavy and my suitcase would have been over weight). So I had to make the decision to leave it behind. I tried practicing when I arrived…but there is an informal connection between earth and soul that travels through a mat.
I can’t explain it and this probably sounds completely ‘cult’ like…but practicing on the floor or a towel is NOT the same as practicing on a mat.
I suffered for two months in Colombia without a mat and when I got to Panama…I had had enough and I needed to get my hands on a mat. I turned to google to find the nearest yoga studio and messaged them on Whatsapp to see if they had any mats.
Unfortunately they did not, but they did recommend another place where I could look. Luckily the other studio did have some in stock so I bought one right away and had it delivered.
In this process, I noticed that Casco Yoga was doing multiple online classes every day and all they ask for is a donation…what ever you can pay. How amazing is that? So I signed up for a class and it felt like home. I LOVED it! Now I am signed up for a class a day. A class a day keeps the blues away. (hehe)
Of course I am going to pay them though…they are amazing. So I signed up for the entire month and with that I also have full access to their entire online inventory as well.
Thank you Casco Yoga! THANK YOU!!!!
