Goodbye For Now

Until I see you again Serbia

I am about to say something that changes everything. I LOVE Serbia! I really truly do. This month has been amazing and it has flown by with DeLorean speed….yes, I just likened time passing quickly to time travel.

I am trying to find the words to explain my position and why Serbia has now taken the top spot for my favourite countries I have visited of all time. It’s pure and friendly and the laid back vibe here is inviting and such an incredible thing to experience.  I don’t think a person can really put it into words, it is just simply something you have to feel for yourself. I highly recommend that you put Serbia at the top of your list, feel it for yourself, feel what I feel and you will know.

One thing I am sure of, life has changed as I know it. I also know that I need to come back and spend more time here in different parts of the country.

My Month’s Memoirs

Memorable Moments in Serbia

• The crazy bug that was in my apartment on day 1. It was insane looking
• The man who thought he lived in my apartment for two days, he kept coming by trying to come inside. LOL
• The pedestrian street I lived on and I don’t know how women walk on the cobblestones in high heels, it’s hard enough in flip flops
• The nightly parties happening at all the restaurants on the street while I was inside working 🙁
• The food, the food, the food
• Knedle! You have to eat these desserts
• Serbian pancakes, not what you think
• Green markets, I love love love them, taste test all the cheese and Rakija homemade from the farmers
• Walking everywhere in this city, literally EVERYWHERE
• Hiking the fortress for exercise
• Shopska salad
• Black Turtle Pub Blueberry beer
• Saurkraut Burek with yogurt
• The people I have met and the tour guides I have had teach me about this beautiful country

I am going to really miss your vibe and Serbia was definitely Jackelyn Approved.
