Staying in a Glass Igloo
The Premium Glass Apartments at Glass Resort are designed to combine Lapland tradition, modern comfort and the pure nature of the Arctic Circle for a relaxing stay. The unique form of glass igloo type accommodation is inspired by the “kota”, a tepee-shaped hut used by the indigenous Sámi people of Lapland.
Each Glass Apartment has a private outdoor Hot Spring Spa and a private Sauna. The Hot Spa and Sauna offers an unforgettable spa experience in the middle of the Arctic nature. There is no better way to enjoy the evening than relaxing in the hot spa surrounded by the wintery landscape and the stars twinkling in the sky, maybe even catching a glimpse of the exclusive Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) above. The outdoor hot spa brings luxury feel to the everyday life!

The apartment interiors are decorated with Scandinavian design brands. It was spacious and luxuriously equipped and has a spacious living area, kitchenette and upstairs loft with glass ceiling as well as a private terrace with outdoor Hot Spring Spa. The beds are positioned to best enable enjoyment of the views while comfortably lying down.
Northern flavors for breakfast and dinner
Overnighting at the Glass Resort included an excellent local breakfast buffet in the Restaurant Gallis. And to make the night even better, we enjoyed a dining experience at Restaurant Gallis, where the menu was crafted as a culinary journey. The restaurant harmoniously combines global ingredients with pristine, locally sourced Lappish ingredients.
Final Thoughts!
This was my most favourite hotel stay by a landslide and my only regret is that I didn’t splurge to stay two nights instead of one.
