Pumpkins After Dark

Honestly, when I saw this event in Calgary I wasn’t 100% sure how it would be. I mean, there is only so much you can do with a pumpkin right? WRONG! This was the greatest display of pumpkin caring talent I have ever seen.

The entire set up was out at the Olympic park in Calgary and it was set up on a little walking trail, where you transcend in disbelief that it’s actually pumpkin. I found myself asking it over and over again, is that really made of pumpkin carvings? It’s no wonder it’s an award winning outdoor Halloween event. It features over 10,000 hand-carved pumpkin on display as you journey on this one of a kind walk through the experience.

You get to explore this magical pathway of lit pumpkin sculptures and displays, with music, sounds and special effects. With classic Halloween characters, dinosaurs and dragons, movie and pop culture icons.

The work and talent is mind boggling, I would love to make this Pumpkins After Dark event my new annual tradition…if only they were in Kelowna.
