Our workshop began with a collection of harvested Ponderosa pines, their long, flexible needles that had carpeted the forest floor. These needles, prized for their strength and pliability, are perfect for coiling into baskets. Their subtle fragrance lingers as you work, a reminder that this craft is rooted in nature’s generosity. Each needle carries a whisper of its origin—sunlight, soil, and seasons—all woven into something enduring.
