On the road again

Well…last week anyway

Just a girl in her rental car cruising down the coast jamming to her tunes in the car…and 3.5 hours later I arrived at a small little quaint place called Pedasí…deep in the Los Santos Province perched on the south eastern tip of the Azuero Peninsula.
This area is known for lively celebrations during the nationwide Carnaval, mostly in the province capital, Las Tablas, with dancing, music and parades in the streets. Pedasí is lined with colonial buildings and sits near the sandy beaches of Playa El Arenal and Playa Toro.

What’s Next

A little sand and a little surf!

Well I am here at this beautiful little Bed & Breakfast for two weeks and I plan on soaking in the chill life. Casa Lajagua is very cute and very comfortable. It’s rustic charm meets Canadian hospitality.  The bed & breakfast is owned and operated by a couple of fellow canucks…so when I was wearing my YVR Hockey team Canuck’s t-shirt jammas on my patio this morning, I felt right at home.  Now, typically when you hear a hotel being referred to as rustic you automatically default to sub par amenities and lower cleanliness standards…but that is NOT the case here.

My room is perfection…super spacious, very clean and the high ceilings with wooden beams and wooden accents is exactly why I use the word rustic. It’s rustic perfection and spending two weeks lounging in the chairs on the patio in front of my suite and taking dips in the pool is going to make the happiest of souls at least moderately jealous. jajaja.

So I am going to work from one of the most tranquil environments and enjoy and relax over the next two weeks.  In my down time, I am going to search for wildlife and see if I can’t catch a few waves…hopefully from the standing position on a board.
