If you follow along with me, you know I have been travelling and moving about for a few years now. The biggest struggle emotionally is missing the people I value most, my daughter, my closest friends, my family.

I finally moved a little closer back to my roots which means I am just a short 4 hour drive from my people in Vancouver. The good news is that Vancouverites LOOOVE to vacation in the Okanagan so convincing my friends to visit was like twisting a rubber arm.

They drove up to visit for the July long weekend and it was such a great time. I mean girls getting together being girls for a weekend sleep over = fun to be had.

I booked us in for a fabulous lunch at Cedar Creek, I hadn’t been there yet but I have heard great things about the venue and the food. It did not disappoint at all.

The venue is stunning. Stone faced walls, contemporary angles, mixed media architecture. This one is an exception to my rule, curb appeal and a palate pleaser.

We sat for the lunch service which was a set meal with an appetizer, an entrée and 2 wine pairings.

Seriously, when they say the Chef prepares his menu like you are his personal guest that speaks volumes. The ingredients are sourced from their own gardens, local farmers, foragers, and ranchers.

Such an amazing venue for lunch and a view @cedarcreekwine with old friends.
